It's a girl!

We already knew that, but there's always a tiny bit of uncertainty until the baby emerges. Anyhow, she was born around 4:45 this morning by C-section. Enrique was born by C-section, but this time the plan was to have a normal birth (VBAC, anyone?). Unfortunately, (currently nameless) baby girl was not cooperating and she got stuck, so they had to birth her via the knife. Bummer, as Lupe now has a 3 day hospital stay.

As an aside, why the hell did I bother calling Lupe's baby nameless? I give everyone I mention in this blog a pseudonym anyway. I'll call her Fatima from now on.
