Terri is free to die, at least for now
A federal judge from the bible belt made a decision based on evidence, rather than politics. According to the ruling, Terri is NOT to be hooked back up to the feeding tube.
I haven't written anything down, but I've spoken with my spouse, my parents, and my in-laws regarding the unlikely situation that I am on some sort of life support with no reasonable chance of recovery, and they all know to pull the plug.
Anyhow, I don't think I could personally withdraw Terri's feeding tube (since I don't have first-hand experience of the evidence), but the state AND federal courts have been satisfied, so the rest of us should leave well enough alone. And, to Dubya and the US Congress, fuck you all for signing and passing 11th hour legislation that prolongs the suffering of Mrs. Schiavo and her family. Take your bibles and shove them up your asses.
