Chemo for Brown
Hola, amigos. What do you hear? I know it's been a long time since I rapped at ya, but things have been crazy. I can sum it all up in one word: work, and the dog. Okay, that's more than one word, but I think you get the gist of it.
Sorry for the above. It's the Jim Anchower in me. I couln't help it.
Brown had his appointment with the cancer doc today, is going to have chemo. Fortunately, it's just pills, and it's pretty low key stuff. There are very few side effects associated with this medication. The Dr. also said that, given the surgical reports and her own examination, it's likely that he has 18-24 months if he has no additional treatment. Even though that brings him up to normal large dog life expectancy, we're going to do the chemo because of the low incidence of side effects and the fact that he acts so damn young. However, at the first sign that this is causing him any grief, I'm stopping it. The only reason to do this, as far as I'm concerned, is to extend the QUALITY of his life. Also, the doc doesn't recommend radiation. Yay!
For the work part, well, work is a pain. I wish Brown could maul it for me.
