Bar league poker
I've been playing poker in some local bars, and am getting into the swing of things. It took me a couple of weeks to get a feel for how the games go, but I'm picking up speed now. Monday I got to a final table in an MTT with 30+ entrants. Last night was sit 'n go night. You get to play in as many single table tourneys as you can during the given time. I played 5, and got points in 4 of them (two 1st, one 2nd, one 3rd, first 3 spots earn points). If you're the points leader for the week, the league sends you to a local casino on Sat morning for a $90 buy in tournament. I'm debating whether I should play tonight. As far as I can tell, I'm sitting in 3rd place for the weekly points competition, at 165. The leader and 2nd have 232 and 182, respectively. 1st in tonigt's tourney is ~180 points. It's conceiveable that I could get the weekly, but you need to buy a membership to the leage to be eligible for that competition. Jenny also has planned a 30th birthday party for me that starts Saturday afternoon. Crap. What a dilemma.
